Amazon may have had a bad quarter (AMZN stock is down 14% since 1Q22 earnings were reported on April 28th), but the company’s advertising budget is showing no signs of slowing down. From 2017 to 2021, the company’s global ad spending has exploded to $16.9 billion from $6.3 billion, making it (likely) the largest ad buyer of all time, which should be confirmed once peers in the consumer products space (P&G, L’Oréal, Samsung, Unliever, etc.) release their figures for this year.
